My son loves any book by Julia Donaldson. Zog is a firm favourite. We are slowly building up the collection. He is two so paper books tend to get ripped quite Zogid book.

These board books are a lovely size for little hands and are small enough to be popped into a bag to take on travels whilst being strong enough to withstand a boisterous toddler/5(K). This book isn't as cute as the other books (Room Broom, Whale Snail, Gruffalo). It has a touch of the rhythm and rhymes we enjoy so much, but the story isn't as captivating as the other books.

It came with a CD, we haven't listened to yet. We are Donaldson fans, /5(K). Zog (rendered on the cover and title page as ZOG) is a children's picture book by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, about a young accident-prone dragon, named Zog, who wants to be the best student in dragon read by: Zogid book Staunton.

The endearing story of the accident-prone dragon and the princess who would rather be a doctor has sold overcopies in less than a year. It is now available accompanied by an audio CD, performed by award-winning actress, Imelda Staunton.

Children can listen to the full story with music, play the Zog Listening Game and sing along to the brand new "Flying Doctors" song, which was written 4/5(5).

This book saw my confidence grow as a teacher and facilitated opportunities in the classroom I didn’t know were possible. Zog, the biggest dragon at Dragon School, learns different skills throughout the book, I have honestly sat staring at the page for some time thinking about how to write a review which does this book justice/5().

The thing I love most about this book is how it subverts the traditional tropes: the princess wants to be a doctor, the knight who comes to 'rescue' her decides he'd rather she taught him medicine, Zog chooses a career as an air ambulance and even the knights horse stays with the dragons as their pet.

Julia Donaldson served as the UK Children's Laureate from to and has written many bestselling and beloved picture books and novels for young readers.

She lives in Glasgow, Scotland, with her husband, Malcolm. Axel Scheffler's award-winning books include Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale, and The Gruffalo. An amazing book by Julia Donaldson.

This tale is about a dragon who was learning lots of new skills at Dragon school. His practicing wasn't always a success and he's been always rescued by the.

The imagery of the book is really good as well, Axel Schaeffer is a great artist and Axel and Julia work well together to create books that children will love.
